Understand completely. I'm in a similar boat with my own work. It's tough fitting it all in. Happy writing :-)

I think that this is the best decision. I had to do the same. Honestly, I didn’t really feel like writing anything else. There’s enough to write about my research, reading, reflecting, outlining my stories (that I can’t seem to finish writing anyway). Also, you’re a great writer. Go for it! 💪

Incidentally, I’ve been on Substack for just over 6 months as well. And I’m still have a blast.

I found this interesting because I’ve come to the opposite conclusion: the Substack is where I write about how I just want to live a life filled with books and my novel in progress is where I want to craft a story.

Glad you've come to this realisation. Once you follow your heart in writing fiction completely it's a deep rabbit hole that keeps on going.

I'm doing something similar with my horror western world The Frontier and publishing regular short stories and flash fiction about nuanced characters in a universe of monsters, magic and mayhem.
