Shaina, thank you so much for sharing my tiny tale with your readers. That’s incredibly kind of you.
Your Stephen King book club sounds like so much fun. What other titles do you have lined up? Also…I have to ask, have you read his latest, Fairy Tale? I absolutely loved it, but I recommended it to my wife and a couple of friends and they all hated it. Curious to hear your take if you’ve read it. 😄
Also…”The Veldt” is my favorite Bradbury story! It’s prophetic and dark and just an all-around incredible short story.
I came up with a the first three months, and I'm currently working on a lineup that will bring together The Dark Tower series with other works (the center of King's universe). It goes Carrie (July 1st), Salem's Lot (August 5th), and The Shining (September 2nd). The hardest part is getting people on board for The Stand...amazing book but so long! So I'll see how these three go and then give it a whirl.
I am halfway through Fairytale and absolutely hating it! But I did love it at a quarter of the way through...it's just...cheesy? I have close King loving friends who adored it, so I'm determined to finish it.
I love Bradbury so much, both his attitude towards life and his incredible fiction.
I had a love/hate relationship with the Dark Tower series. I slogged my way through some of the books and couldn’t put down others. It was a strange reading experience for me with many ups and downs.
I completely understand where you’re coming from with Fairy Tale. It was beyond cheesy, and I think I chose to look past most of it. 🤣
I love the King line up! I’ve never read The Stand, but it’s waiting for me on top of my dresser. I have a couple more books to get through and then I’m going to tackle it. Based on what everyone tells me, I’m confident that I’ll love it...I just have to commit to the 1200 pages!
The Veldt is my favorite bradbury story. Super creepy!
I've actually been reading Rainn Wilson's new book, Soul Boom. It's an interesting read about spirituality. I'm not a religious person, but the spiritual side fascinates me. I'm also an Office fan, so I wanted to give the book a try

Thanks again for the shout-out!
No problem! It was well deserved.

And yes, agreed regarding Bradbury!
I haven’t read any of The Dark Tower 😳 but here I go dragging everyone along for the ride 😂
🤣 It will be worth it!
Hey, thanks for featuring my little story! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

I love Rainn!!! I didn't know he had a book out. I'll have to check it out.
He has a couple. He's a really cool dude!
Hey Shaina, another great post, thank you.
Wow that line by Bradbury! Eep. Prescient.
A lovely quote by him, though. Staying drunk on writing ... I'll drink to that!
I also loved Olivia's piece. Great writing.
Wasn’t it great! I loved it too!
Shaina, this is awesome that you're doing this. It's really generous - and really great to find people's writing this way. Keep it up!
Thanks Sam! There’s a lot of gems on here. I’m trying to share as much as I can!
Love him so much!
